Luke Goss is Frankenstein in “Death Race” Prequel
Back in November, it was revealed that Universal Pictures had greenlit the prequel to Paul WS Anderson’s “Death Race,” which will be based on a Tony Giglio (Chaos) script.
The new movie is said to delve into the past of the mangled driver known as Frankenstein, who was originally played by the late David Carradine in the 1975 film “Death Race 2000″ and voiced by Carradine in Anderson’s recent “Death Race.”
Moviehole has learned that Luke Goss (Hellboy II: The Golden Army) will star as Frankenstein in this prequel called “Death Race: Frankenstein Lives.” Goss will play Carl “Luke” Lucas (aka Frankenstein), who has been framed by the mob for the murder of a police officer. Once relocated to Terminal Island, he is roped into entering the famed race to stay alive.
“Frankenstein Lives” is directed by Roel Reine (The Marine 2), who will begin filming in Eastern Europe next month.
