Ok, inspired by a collective frustration over reporters' and critics' seeming inability to pull their minds out of the 80's, here's the beginnings of the rules of the game. I'm hoping the real nutters on this forum can add more creative rules as we go. Originally mentioned as part of Wednesday's "Furious" thread.


The rules apply to any promotional mention: articles, critic reviews, interviews, radio spots, etc. I'm wondering if it should be opened up for movies, TV shows and other public appearances too. The alcohol used is not important, so long as you are able to keep it down in great quantities. Beer is okay, spirits are fine, mixed drinks rule!

1) If the article contains a passing Bros mention, ie "...formerly of Bros," take one drink.
2) If the article contains a highlighted Bros mention, ie "...you may remember a boy band in the 80's called Bros," take two drinks
3) If the article contains a major Bros mention, ie "...I remember being at a Bros performance and got high and drunk and barfed all over one of them, might've been Luke, but it might've been Matt. Anyway, the music was okay, but the ripped T-shirts rocked," take three drinks.
4) If the Bros mention is neutral, take a drink.
5) If the Bros mention is positive, take one drink for the non-negative aspect of it, and one because you agree.
6) If the Bros mention is negative, take the whole bottle and bust it over the critic's head. Have another drink to christen a new bottle.
7) If the article has pictures of LG, take a drink for each one.
8) If the article has no pictures of LG, take a drink for each one it ought to have. (Warning, you should have extra bottles on hand for this one)
9) If the pictures are bad (i.e. fuzzy, too small, etc, since LG cannot take a "bad" photo), take one drink
10) If the pictures are good (i.e. full page, full color, great lighting/angle/clothes etc.), forget the drink and just groove on the pictures.
11) If the pictures are smokin'... two drinks, minimum. Kam should have three.
12) If the article/interview/whatever is local only, have one drink.
13) If it has statewide or national coverage, have two. Keep in mind there's likely pictures or videos with this one, so be ready to have more.
14) If it's international, finish the bottle.

Oh, is there a size limit to the drinks? Do we take shots for the articles that make only a passing mention or do we go for tall drinks and highballs, especially for the really heinous drivel? How about tumblers? We're going to need a shaker for those mixed drinks, and there's already a bottle of vodka in my freezer.

I'd save the empty bottles to throw at the critics...it's never good to waste a full bottle on them, unless they're ships ready to launch.

I'm on my third Diet Coke. Does that count? I haven't seen any new articles with Luke, so I'm going to amend the game to include past articles.
